A consortium of Mota-Engil Central Europe, Himmel and Papesch Opole Sp. z o.o. will carry out the contract in the "design and build" system. The contract was signed on May 24, 2018. The contractor will prepare the project documentation with obtaining all necessary conditions, arrangements, opinions, permits and administrative decisions allowing the implementation of the investment and the construction of the road. The period of execution of the contract covers 36 months, excluding winter time in the construction period.
- The investment is expected by the inhabitants of Niemodlin and the surrounding area - it will improve their safety. It will be a good example of activities which are close to us, that fit in with the broadly understood social interest. And this is one of the most important functions of any road modernization - improving the quality of life of the communities for which such investments are made. Therefore, we hope that the inhabitants of Niemodlin and the surrounding area will be friendly to us. We also count on good cooperation with local subcontractors and suppliers. Each time we start such a large project, we become an important shareholder in the business life of the region. We create new workplaces and market for materials and services - which is as important as the road construction itself - says Zbigniew Zajączkowski, President of the Board of Mota-Engil Central Europe. - And this is our next project implemented together with the GDDKiA in Opole - he adds.
Mota-Engil Central Europe has already executed such contracts as the construction of the S8 expressway on the Syców-Kępno, Kępno-Wieruszów section and bypass of Nysa within National Road No. 41 Nysa-Prudnik-Trzebina - state border and No. 46 Kłodzko-Nysa-Opole-Czestochowa-Szczekociny for GDDKiA in Opole.
